Overview

Vinylised Signs partnered with Energy Logistics in Largs North to design, engineer, fabricate, and install a large illuminated fabricated sign measuring 6500mm wide x 1900mm high. This project pushed the boundaries of both design and manufacturing, showcasing our ability to deliver oversized signage with both engineering precision and visual impact.

The Challenge

The project demanded more than a standard approach. At this scale, we were pushing the limits of material capabilities, requiring creative engineering to ensure structural integrity without compromising on aesthetics. Adding illumination increased complexity, as we needed to guarantee daytime colour accuracy while also achieving crisp, vibrant illumination at night. A tight timeline and multiple out-of-the-box procedures made this a true showcase project.

Our Solution

We engineered every element of the sign — from material selection, internal bracing, and wind loading, to LED illumination design and fixing points — ensuring performance around the clock. Careful testing and colour proofing allowed us to balance vinyl overlays, diffusion materials, and lighting output to meet both daytime and nighttime brand requirements. Before fabrication began, our team produced a 3D model and detailed mock-ups, allowing the client to see a near-final representation of the end result. Once approved, we fabricated and assembled the sign using reinforced construction techniques and integrated high-performance illumination.

The Result

The final product was bold, illuminated, and engineered to perfection. By day, the sign displayed clean brand colours; by night, it lit up with striking, even illumination that elevated visibility and brand presence. Delivered on time and true to the design previews, the project demonstrated Vinylised’s expertise in blending engineering, fabrication, and lighting design to create truly standout signage.
